History

Caboto Specials is a community-based organization that provides year-round training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities from Windsor and Essex County. Programs are run strictly by volunteers and also compete under the Special Olympics organization.

Caboto Specials was formed in 1976 with six athletes.

Caboto Specials is a non-profit organization, annually challenged with raising funds. Funds to run our basic programs are generated through Club sponsorship, bingos and various organizations and individuals' generosity.

Annual events for registered participants include Bocce Tournament/Dinner, Summer Picnic, Halloween Party/Dinner and Christmas Party/Dinner.
